Beginning with Lotus Sametime 7.5.1, the Sametime Connect client is available for the Mac platform. Information about supported platforms can be found in the Sametime system requirements.
What follows is a compilation of information from the Sametime system requirements:
Sametime 8.5
For Sametime 8.5, Mac OS support was introduced with the Sametime 8.5.1 release.
- Sametime Connect 8.5.1 client is supported on Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) or Mac OS X 10.6.2 (Snow Leopard)
- Sametime Connect 8.5.2 client is supported on Mac OS X 10.6.2 (Snow Leopard)
- Sametime Connect 8.5.2 IFR 1 client is supported on Mac OS X 10.6.2 (Snow Leopard) or Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion)
- Sametime Connect 8.5.2 support for Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) is available by applying a fix; refer to Sametime 8.5.2 fix to support Mac 10.8 and Windows 8
Sametime 8.0 Connect client:
The Sametime Connect 8.0 client is supported on Mac OS 10.4.x and Mac OS 10.5.x (Leopard). Sametime 8.0 provides continued enhancements for the Sametime Mac client, including point-to-point video, location awareness, and enhancements involving the Mac dock.Sametime 7.5.1 Connect client:
The Sametime Connect 7.5.1 client supports Mac OS X 10.4.x (Tiger) and 10.5.x (Leopard). Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) is not officially supported.

As per Jeanne Li from L3 (on PMR 94933,082,000), we anticipate Mac 10.8x support for both embedded Sametime (Notes 853) and stand-alone ST852IFR1 will be available by EOM November 2012.Note: Sametime Connect for Browsers (Java Connect) releases 3.1 and higher has been known to run successfully with Internet Explorer 5.2.3 for Mac OS X; however, this configuration is not supported.

Same Time Client For Mac
A few customers have asked whether they could use the ST API as a way to make ST work on a Mac client. However, there are no native MAC platform DLLs within Sametime. Without such files, it is not possible to use the ST API to make a Mac client work with Sametime.
